CARLI Updates

• Jenny provided an update on pricing and contracts for FY26.
• An announcement is coming soon about the consortial ebook program
• ILDS funding for next year has been secured
• There is no news on the IMLS funding situation

Discussion

PRODUCT PROPOSALs

• LibraryPass/Comics Plus - the committee reviewed the proposal and has follow-up questions for the vendor

Other business

• The committee reviewed the E-Resources Interest Survey, to be distributed during summer 2025:
  • Last year, the survey was disseminated in July, open July 15-August 31
  • Changes to last year's questions for this year's survey were discussed
• Committee annual report
  • Report due May 31
  • Committee reviewed draft; Thane will edit and disseminate for additional review and input

Decisions

• Minutes of the April 9, 2025, meeting were approved.
• LibraryPass/Comics Plus vendor proposal decision tabled until follow-up questions are answered
• The committee decided on changes to the E-Resource Interest Survey:
  • Eliminate Q. 9, 10, and 11
  • Add a question to assess interest in a variety of topics (e.g., AI, open access, budgeting, statistics, promotion of products)
  • Add "comics" to Q12; Q12 should be moved to the current position of Q9
  • Committee will finalize the CARLI E-Resources Interest Survey at the June meeting
• Meeting adjourned at 12:00 p.m.

Tasks Assigned

• Thane will disseminate a draft report to the committee for review and input.
